Tony Sparano Gets First And Last Head Coaching Job
Let’s face it, coaching the Miami Dolphins back from the dead isn’t going to be easy and it probably isn’t going to be accomplished by one person. Bill Parcell’s second or third coach — yes, we’re talking three to five years at least — might get it right and lead the Fins to the playoffs, but definitely not his first. So congratulations Tony Sparano on being hired the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins!
I’m guessing Parcells was looking for someone with an ability to survive extended periods of abuse and punishment and a willingness to do things Bill’s way. Considering Sparano worked on Parcell’s staff in Dallas, he probably has those qualities in spades. We should all send our thoughts and prayers to Sparano, because this next season — and the next and the next after that — are going to be inhumanly terrible.
