The #16 ranked Gamecocks made a valiant comeback attempt after falling behind 21-0 in Knoxville, but in overtime Tennessee’s Daniel Lincoln kicked the game-winning 27-yard field goal. South Carolina’s Ryan Succop, who had put the Fighting Roosters ahead in the fourth quarter with a 49-yard kick, missed on a 40-yard attempt.
