Toros spokeswoman Perri Travillion said she was talking with Johnson on the sidewalk outside the building when he collapsed. Johnson was joking about getting a parking ticket.

“We were laughing,” she said. “He just collapsed.”

Travillion said she called 911 and that Johnson never regained consciousness.
I’ve yet to manage to get out to see a Toros game (bad sports fan, bad sports fan), but I definitely have lots of memories of those Celtic teams battling the Pistons and Lakers in the 80’s, as those were prime formative sports years for me as a kid.

For most of the NBA’s 60 years, Celtic pride has been about winning: 16 championships and three other appearances in the finals, forming a tradition of success that was the hallmark of the league.

Now, more than 20 years since their last title, almost a month since their last victory, pride is all they have left.

We’ve all been busy dogging the Knicks of late, with bumbling Isiah doing everythnig possible to torpedo the team, but it’s about time that Danny Ainge gets some credit for completing wrecking the Celtics.

Kudos, Danny-boy, your team really, really sucks.
