Christie Brinkley Shills For Isles

Is it too early to start talking about hockey? It’s obviously not too early to start selling season tickets, and the Islanders are pulling out the big guns with an ad featuring none other than former super model and current super fan Christie Brinkley.

Okay, maybe she’s no longer as hot as she was 25 years ago when Billy Joel started being her “Piano Man” but I’d say she’s still pretty sexy in the way that former models are still pretty sexy mostly because you remember how she looked in that poster you had on the wall. And anyway this is the Isles we’re talking about here, they can’t really be choosy about who they get to hawk tickets. It could have been a lot worse.

Of course, I wonder why they don’t have an ad with current girlfriend of Mike Comrie, Hillary Duff. Maybe the relationship is too new or she hasn’t quite committed to the idea of being a puck bunny like Elisha Cuthbert, but you’d think someone in the Islanders marketing department might mention the idea to Comrie at some point.

Of course, for the ultimate in hottie marketing power, no one can touch the Dallas Stars. How many tickets do you think they could sell if they ran an ad with Mike Modano’s new wife, Willa Ford?
