Tony Romo’s difficult girlfriend

Speaking as a life-long unrepentant meat eater I can’t imagine dating a vegetarian. Sleepnig with, yes; being in a committed relationship? No way.

Now, I don’t know Tony Romo personally, but being a player in the National Football League and a native of Wisconsin, I have to believe he likes his animal proteins as much as the next guy, so how it is that he’s been able to carry on a relationship with country singer and former American Idol Carrie Underwood is a little bit of a mystery. The girl is a hard-core vegan and very picky about the food that gets put in front of her.

According to WSYR-TV in Syracuse, Underwood has a three-page tour rider that stipulates what is and what is not allowed in the backstage when she plays concerts. Venues must provide her with meatless lunch and dinner, and they have to stock her tour bus with “two fresh lemons, two fresh limes and an assortment of Eclipse chewing gum.” Finding a restaurant to take this girl to — in Dallas — must be nearly impossible.
