Falson 13, Bills 10
Game ball goes to: Atlanta’s backup quarterback Chris Redman, I guess. Threw a game winning TD pass to George Cooper in the fourth quarter.
Key his Escalade: Steve Fairchild, Buffalo’s offensive coordinator. The Bills starting offense has now gained 133 yards and five first downs in eight series.
Panthers 10, Eagles 27
Game ball goes to: Donovan McNabb. Completed six of nine passes for 138 yards and engineered two scoring drives that led to 10 points for Philadelphia.
Key his Escalade: Jake Delhomme. Carolina’s starter completed just 9 of 18 passes 78 yards, got sacked three times, and threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.
Titans 27, Patriots 24
Game ball goes to: Vince Young. Tennessee’s star quarterback got sacked four times in his pre-season debut, but he patched things up with coach Jeff Fisher after getting benched last week.
Key his Escalade: Patriots medical staff. Two weeks now we’ve been waiting to see Randy Moss in a Pats uniform and two weeks now we’re told “upper leg injury.”
Vikings 37, Jets 20
Game ball goes to: Minnesota’s ball-hogging defense. The Vikes scored three defensive touchdowns, including interceptions by Darren Sharper and Chad Greenway, and fumble recovered by Brian Robison.
Key his Escalade: Chad Pennington, who threw those two interceptions.
