MNF: Monday Night Shuffle

I was planning on posting this to cheer up the Bears fans after a huge, devastating loss, but the Chicago defense bailed out their fugly offense and in the end the Cards handed them a gift 24-23 win. But I’ll go ahead and post this anyway, though, because it’s so damn ridiculous:

Which brings me to one of my pet theories that Chicago will never win another championship because they are being punished for what happened in Super Bowl XX. In that game, if you’ll remember, the Bears had the ball on the goal line in the third quarter and coach Ditka put the Fridge in to make the score, just to humiliate the already humiliated Patriots. Because of that little bit of douchbaggery, Walter Payton was denied the chance to score a touchdown in his one and only Super Bowl appearance, thus angering the football gods and causing them to place a hex on the Bears franchise. It’s just a theory, yes, and perhaps far fetched, but I’m standing by it until proven otherwise.
