NFL Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
(To get us all ready for a new season of football, oddsnark is previewing all 32 NFL teams with the help of some good friends and experts. Here to preview the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is Bucco Bruce.)
Ahoy me hearties! Life’s been pretty hard for this old swashbuckler after Tampa Bay made me walk the plank. Ever since the team got those pewter pants and then won a Super Bowl they’ve treated me like a dirty bilge rat. The landlubbers won’t even let an old seaman on the poop deck of that fine seaworthy vessel at the new stadium. Even The Village People wouldn’t let me join them on their reunion tour. Now I’ll never tell them where I hid the gold doubloons! Instead, I spend my days drifting on the high seas drinking grog and reminiscing about the good old days with that bent-over guy in the tri-cornered hat who used to be on the Patriots’ helmets. That dude’s got a “little captain” in him, if you know what I’m saying. And in case you’re wondering, I do remove the knife from my teeth whenever we “sail below the equator.” Arrr!
