Rooting For Monty

The 135th British Open gets underway today at Royal Liverpool, and you can tell that we’re suffering from the heat of summer and lack of football action because we’re posting on a golf event in a timely manner. All the big names will be there of course, like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Vijay Singh, but if we were the type to actually sit and watch a golf tournament from start to finish we would be rooting for Scottish duffer Colin Montgomerie.

You might not know it to look at him, but 43-year old Monty is quite the ladies man and has been linked to an impressive string of affairs since his 14-year marriage ended a couple years ago. For a while he was seeing Spanish actress and model Ines Sastre, and then he was seen together with Dr. Helen Westlake, a former Miss England. Monty has also had flings with another Spanish model, Paula Tagg, as well as Joanne Baldwin, model Alex Leigh, and BBC presenter Alison Walker. He’s also been linked to Golf Ireland host Suzanne Coyne (pictured center). I’m not sure when this guy has time to, you know, play golf, but whatever he’s doing I say keep on doing it.
