According to a study by the Mental Health Research Foundation in the UK, men are more willing to share their feelings while watching watching football. (That’s the other football, not our football.) The online study of 500 men found that almost 70% said they are more willing to talk about their feelings with other men and three-fourth of them were not afraid to hug other men while watching 90 minutes of scoring-free competition. Here’s a few of the “feelings” we’re sure soccer fans are comfortable sharing with one another:
* I like beer, so let’s order another 20 pints
* I really, really dislike people who do not support my club, so let’s smash their heads in with hammers
* Setting fire to things is great
Get ready for a whole lot of unabashed man love and emotional sharing when the World Cup gets underway June 9.
