If the Seattle Seahawks make it back to the Super Bowl this year, they might want to take a page from Italian soccer powerhouse Juventus FC. It seems that Juve officials have been able to “influence” the selection of referees for their matches to get sympathetic refs who won’t, you know, call penalties or whatever they do when they pull that deck of cards out of their pocket. The police are investigating these allegations, but yesterday the team’s entire board up and quit, including Juventus managing director Antonio Giraudo and the general director Luciano Moggi. For those of you not in the know, Juve is one one of the best and most popular soccer teams in Italy which is just days away from wrapping up their second straight Serie A championship. Even Iranians love Juventus FC.
