Oh, wow, that’s really gross

Shane Mosley earned a 10th round TKO over Fernando “The Nawshish One” Vargas last night by transforming his opponent into the Elephant Man.

Vargas’ eye was swollen shut by the 7th round, but fans were treated to three more suspense-filled rounds during which they could wager whether El Feroz’s head might actually explode all over the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Mosley was leading on two of the three judge’s cards when the bout was stopped, and appeared to be in control of the fight. Vargas, naturally, saw the bout differently.

“I was wondering why they stopped the fight. I was the one pushing the action, backing him into the ropes. I definitely want a rematch.”

Wondering why they stopped the fight? Well, perhaps because it was your rapidly ballooning blood tumor that was backing Mosley into the ropes. Sugar Shane deserves credit just for managing not to flee in terror while you grew a second head.

Mosley improved to 42-4 (36), Vargas now stands at 26-3 (22). Count the rest of us nauseous. Sorry, nawshish.
