
Not the best of weekends for the US team. Michelle Kwan is out, Bode Miller and Daron Rahlves came up empty in the men’s downhill, and Apolo Anton Ohno saw his chances slip slide away in 1,500 meter short track semi-final.
Not really sure why Soul-Patchy was trying to make the unneccesary pass at the end that spelled his downfall, when he was in position to qualify for the finals, but there’s probably a reason he’s a world-famous Olympian and I had the sirloin special at Boston Market for dinner last night.
Grandma Luge is also out of the games, after injuring her wrist in a practice run. It looks like US downhiller Lindsey Kildow may be finished, too, after being taken off the mountain on a stretcher after a bad spill during her training run.
As far as the all-hallowed medal count, Norway is leading with 7 total, followed by Russia (5), the US (3), Germany (3), Italy (3), and the Netherlands (3).
