Heimerdinger Jets Out Of New York

Mike Heimerdinger is fat, happy, and unemployed, just the way he wanted. If you’ll remember, the New Yawk Jets assistant was told last week by incoming head coach Eric Mangini that he could keep his job as offensive coordinator, and then he went crying to The Star-Ledger (New Jersey’s first source for news, yo) like a little bitch. It seems he didn’t want to coach for the Jets no more without Herm Edwards around, boo boo! Well, Mangini showed he’s no dummy and let Humdinger Heimerdinger out of his contract. (Don’t let the door hit yer ass on the way out!) It sounds like he’ll be knocking on Mike Shanahan’s door to sponge a job off his old college roommate, though it’d serve him right if Shanahan promoted offensive line coach Rick Dennison instead.
