Meet The Mushers: Rick Larson

Rick is a construction worker and outdoorsman from Montana who is back to run the Iditarod Trail Race after a year’s absence. Placing 47th in his inaugural race in 2004 was marred by the fact that his home burnt down while he was away, so Rick had to take a year off to rebuild his house. He has been mushing since 1992 and ran his first long distance race in 1999. When he’s not tending to his dogs or driving his cement mixer, Rick enjoys hunting.
