The Boxing Gods Giveth, The Boxing Gods Taketh Away
A month ago boxing fans couldn’t have been happier. With Mormeck-Bell, Morales-Pacquiao II, Corrales-Castillo III, Lacy-Calzaghe, Barrera-Chavez, and Judah-Mayweather all scheduled, and negotiations for a Jermain Taylor-Winky Wright meeting underway, the first few months of 2006 promised to be better than some entire years in boxing.
We’re only halfway through January and already things are falling apart. Taylor-Wright negotiations have broken down, Corrales-Castillo III has been postponed, and Judah-Mayweather went up in flames when Zab half-assed it against Carlos Baldomir.
That’s the boxing I know and love.
