Purdue quarterback Brandon Kirsch has given up his remaining year of eligibility and accidentally entered his name for the NFL Draft. Though a senior Kirsch played in just 3 games as a back up in 2003 and could have come back for another year. His stats for 2005 included 7 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 1,700 yards, and a 5-6 record. (All 6 losses came in a streak from the end of September to the end of October and included Purdue’s first 5 conference games.)
Coach Joe Tiller is absolutely thrilled with the decision. “I think the NFL is in Brandon’s heart, and he should follow his heart,” Tiller said, snickering. “We wish him the best of luck.”

After further investigation, it turns out that it wasn’t an accident. Kirsch actually entered his name on purpose.
Huh.
Sorry about that.
