K-1 Fighter unleashes his inner homophobic warrior

We’re pretty old-school here at oddsnark when it comes to fighting, with a number of boxing fans among our ranks, but no K-1/UFC/bar fighting experts. (That’s right, we’ve got Iditarod aficionados, but no ultimate fighting enthusiasts.) Luckily this story is funny enough to transcend the world of foot fighting.

Apparently K-1 fighting person Yoshihiro Nakao thought he’d have a little fun with his opponent Heath Herring before their match. The two men were standing face-to-face in a pre-fight stare down when Nakao suddenly kissed Herring on the mouth. Herring’s reaction was swift and decisive — he knocked Nakao the eff out.

While Nakao enjoys the little tweeting birdies circling his head, Herring can be heard explaining “I’m not gay” to officials.

Don’t anyone confuse Heath Herring with Keith Haring — he’ll whoop your ass. (And don’t interpret any contact he makes with your ass as an overture — he’s not gay.)
