Meet The Mushers: Tim Osmar

Tim is part polar bear and was raised by wolves. I’m serious, this guy is like Grizzly Adams crossed with Nanook of the North. Tim has run the Iditarod Trail Race for more than 20 years and has finished out of the top 20 only once. His best finish came in 1992 when he placed 3rd. In 2001 he ran both the 1,000 mile Yukon Quest and the 1,100 mile Iditarod, winning the Quest and placing 18th in The Last Great Race. During this year’s race, Tim is serving as visual interpreter for Rachael Scdoris.
