Blues Up For Sale: Buyer Beware
Rumor has it that Wal-Mart familias Bill and Nancy Laurie have found a buyer for their pathetic hockey team, the St. Louis Blues. The story has it that Andrew Appleby, a former Detroit Pistons executive, has formed an investment group interested in buying the Blues. I hope he didn’t decide to buy after looking at the team’s Web site, because he might have gotten conned into thinking he was getting a real NHL franchise as opposed to the farm league team he’ll find in his stocking. We all have to be vigilant against online scams.
