Picks for bowl games so far: 3-2

The 3 toed man is on a bit of a roll, hitting the last 3 picks. So maybe the goons will let me keep those toes, if for just a few more days.

Game: Hawaii Bowl, Nevada vs. UCF
Johnny 3 Toes Pick: UCF +145 at BoS

This one is hard to peg. UCF definitely has the feel good/magical season momentum on its side, as far as making it to a bowl just one year removed from a truly craptacular season. Nevada, though, seems to be getting more respect from what appears on the surface to be a tougher schedule, as well as a big win against Fresno St. to cap the regular season.

I’m not sure I buy that, though. Or at least I think it’s close enough that taking UCF and the ML at +140 or better is a really good value. The Golden Knights did post wins over Memphis and Houston, and hung in there with South Carolina and Southern Miss. I’m going to go out on a limb and pick UCF to win this one, in a close game.
