Thirty four minutes. That’s all that separated our man Ed from Robert Sorlie and first place in last year’s Iditarod Trail Race, just half of an hour. So, so close, Ed. But he’s back this year and ready to make up those precious few minutes. Ed was born in Alaska, raised in Minnesota, and returned to the Last Frontier to attend the University of Alaska at Fairbanks. He has made up for lost time in living in the lower 48 by moving himself and his family to Kotzebue, which is north of the Arctic Circle. I’d say he’s nuts, but then I’ve never come in second in the Iditarod, so what do I know? To find out more about Ed and his dog team, check out his official Web site.
An original oddsnark founding member, but has since fallen by the wayside.
