The Volunteers had their 16 year consecutive bowl streak snapped this year, going 5-6, and reduced to spending their Christmas holidays ogling their sister-cousins instead of playing football.

That said, if the above list is any indicator, let’s pray that they quickly resume their bowl-attending ways. Me no likee the correlation between popular music and years the Vols are bowl-less.

Michigan currently has the longest active consecutive bowl streak, stretching all the way back to 1975, with Florida State in the two slot with 24 straight bowl appearances.

Nebraska holds the all-time record of 35 straight bowls, from 1969-2003. Nice work, Callahan, in putting an end to a nice run in 2004 that even Frankie Solich managed to keep alive.
