Peerless Cut By Cowboys, Joins Foreign Legion
Wide receiver Peerless Price was cut today by the Dallas Cowboys after playing in just seven games with one start. He posted six catches for 96 yards and had 12 punt returns in those contests. Price signed a one-year, $1.8 million deal with Dallas in September after being dropped from the Atlanta Falcons roster two seasons into a seven-year contract.
Following the news, the second-round pick out of Tennessee reportedly left Big D to join the French Foreign Legion. He said in a statement, “My best football playing days are clearly behind me and the NFL doesn’t want me around. I am a man without a country and need a new start in life, so I am off to defend freedom and liberty as a member of Légion Étrangère. Or maybe I’ll wait around to see if the Saints need a receiver next year.”
