Torbush Released From College Station

Texas A&M released its defensive coordinator Carl Torbush on Monday. Aggie head coach Dennis Franchione announced the emancipation in an email.

Carl has paid his debt to society. He’s been a model coordinator since joining us in 2002. We wish him all the best.

A jubilent Torbush expressed his relief.

Free at last, free at last! I thought I could tread backwater — hell, I coached at Alabama, North Carolina, and Ole Miss — but this place is a pit. I’ve still got Mack Brown’s number, maybe he’ll give me a job. Hell, I’ll clean his pool if he’ll pay my bus fare out of… uh, what’s the nearest town with a bus stop?
