Fat Kid Does Good

Someone reminded all time NCAA career rushing leader and all around professional bust Ron Dayne that he plays in the NFL, is a running back, and that running backs are allowed — nay, are supposed to — run the ball.

Dayne rushed for 98 yards on just 7 carries in Thanksgiving’s other NFL game, giving hope to chubby kids everywhere that they might not always be the last one chosen. He and his Denver Broncos beat the Cowgirls 24-21 on a Jason Elam field goal in overtime. Dayne set up the field goal when he ran 55 yards before, weirdly, being caught from behind at the 6 yard line.
